Criteria:
1. 2 letters of recommendation
2. HS Transcript with SAT scores and current courses listed
3. Resume with 9-12 list of activities including school activities, extracurricular involvement, volunteer/community service & work experience, awards earned
4. Essay outlining COLLEGE & CAREER GOALS
5. Some scholarships have additional criteria. See below.

Directions:
You will submit an application virtually using this Microsoft Forms link below. Using this link, you will need to upload several application components.
Upload a personal essay detailing your career goals: Make sure your essay clearly states what field of study you are interested in. Your essay should let your reader get to know you a little bit, they should get a sense of what you want to do in college and beyond, and why you chose that path. If you are undecided, write about some ideas you might have. They want to read about your seriousness about college. FEF Local Scholarships Essay Template.docx
Upload a transcript: Make sure it includes your full year schedule and SAT scores. Ask Mrs. Scovill or Mrs. Coffindaffer to send it to you electronically.
Upload a Resume. List all activities you participated in throughout high school in a resume format showing your activities in grades 9-12: Extracurricular activities both in school and outside of school; Community service & volunteer experience; Work experience; and awards and honors. See an example in this packet. Example Resume.docx
Request two letters of recommendation (Uploaded by the adult on your behalf): Be sure to ask two adults early so they have time to write you a great letter. It helps to give them a copy of your activities list so they can see all that you have done in high school. Best practice - First, seek out the adult and ask them in person if possible. Provide them with a copy of your resume. Let them know that there is a link to submit the recommendation virtually. Second, email the adult this link: https://rebrand.ly/FHS-Local-Scholarships-Teacher-Recommendation. Include in your email a few sentences of appreciation and note the deadline – March 10. Third, be sure to follow up near the application deadline and be thankful for their support.
