How to Create a resume
It is important to create a resume to apply for jobs, trade schools, college, scholarships, etc. Google Docs or Word have resume templates that make it easy!
Resume Tips
1. Keep it short! Resumes should only be one page, with your highest level of education listed first and your jobs listed as most recent to least recent.
2. Use action words that showcase the skills you learned at a job! Instead of "Worked the register" say, "Managed daily transactions with accuracy".
3. Have 3 references. References are people who can speak to your ability to do a job well and to who you are as a person. This can be a boss, teacher, coach, church leader, or volunteer leader--NOT friends or family.
